Mr. Gotheiner has created an internationally acclaimed teaching method,
inspired by the work of Maggie Black, under whom he studied for many years.
Combining different traditions of ballet, with emphasis on placement and
movement efficiency, this method is respectful of the human body and the
specific needs and abilities of each individual. The class consists of
slow and thorough barre work, followed by spacious-movement exercises,
integrated with turns and rhythmical phrasing. Mr. Gotheiner concludes
with a sequence of jumps, both intricate and fluid.
